About Me
I grew up at the tail end of a great big family in the countryside of Northern California. In my family, where there was pretty much always a new baby to celebrate, I always felt drawn to the magic of birth and the joy of taking care of new families. Attending my first birth in 2009 felt like coming home.
After welcoming my own kids a few years later, I found a whole new respect and appreciation for the miraculous undertaking of growing, birthing, and parenting a child. We deserve to be surrounded by a trusted, kind, knowledgeable support system during this wild ride. You’ve got this, and I’m here to cheer you on!
Most days you’ll find me hanging out with my family: reading, hiking, digging in the garden, reminding my kids to pick up after themselves, the usual. I’m passionate about gentle & empowered birth experiences, education as the antidote to fear, and minimizing my carbon footprint. I believe in the transformative power of community, and in showing up for others.
